Description

 

Ultrasonic level meter BULM is self contained device, which includes electroacoustic transducer and electronic module. The variants

 

BULM-55_-02 a 06 have all included in stainless steel housing with thread. The variant

BULM-55N-10 is made from fi xed set of plastic fl ange, stainless steel housing with electronic module and electroacoustic transducer. The zero (minimum distance) and span (maximum) is set by means of two trimmers on electronic module.

The level meter  BULM transmits 5 times per second the series of ultrasonic pulses, which propagates towards the liquid surface. Re fl ected acoustic wave is received back in the BULM transducer and processed. The time of  fl ight to the level and back is transformed to voltage. Then the temperature compensation is provided and the voltage signal is changed to output current 4 ? 20 mA.

Note: The acoustic wave propagation velocity in the air is affected by many in fl uences - mainly temperature, pressure, humidity, presence of various vapours and gases, etc. In the BULM is provided only temperature compensation. The other infl uences is possible to neglect or to compensate externally.
